Training Schools are at the leading edge of developing excellence in teaching and learning.

Thurston Community College was awarded Training School status in 2009, and is committed to training the teachers of tomorrow and further developing the skills, abilities and interests of all staff who work in schools.

We work closely with the Local Authority and other schools, sharing best practice, to ensure an excellent education for all of our children, across the county and the UK.
